Finally, someone is showing empathy for the bugs. Yes, they need rehydrating and a few days rest at the very minimum.

But, Argos, if you were a bit more careful around our smaller friends they could co-exist without great bodily harm.

If you speed up, like “warp speed”, can’t you just ride between the bugs? Save them little critters from more suffering!

Possibly, but they are so stupid. Just like cage drivers, always aiming for us. Maybe like you say warp speed we can get past them before they think to attack. Come to think of it, that is how I deal with cagers. More throttle and get past the asshats.

Been using CycleCare Formula 33 and a microfiber for cloth for years and that works great. Spray it on, wait a few seconds, it just melts the bugs, then wipe away. The microfiber cloth is so you don't scratch your windshield, people tend to use paper towels which are wood products and will scratch plastic faceshields and some windshields.

Here's a link https://www.cyclecare.com/product/formula-33/

Waiting is the secret, a rag soak in a soapy water, leave it on the buggered spot, wait until bugs get soft and wipe.

When they are really stuck on, I sit the windscreen in the drive, in the sun to warm things up. Uncoil the hose, for the same reason. Then use the spray nozzle to power that crud off with the warm water that's in the hose. I'm so lazy. Then a good micro fiber towel to dry it all off. No scrubbing needed.
