TC 88A Chat
I'm starting this thread as a less formal place for us to chat about all things TC 88A mapping related. The sticky was becoming too cluttered for new folks to find the technical info they needed. So here in this thread, those of us not new to the TC 88A, can be less technical and discuss the newer mapping we're doing and what not.

Dude! No more than usual. (You are talking about the ignition right)?
OK, now if Lux can get that riding done and report back...
I on the other hand rode a lot today, and the only time it caughed at all was when it was about stone cold in the morning, and this evening, and still nothing like the teburculosis type caugh it had before with the SE.
I'm sure that like anything else you will continue to tweak it, but right now as it stands it's way better than the SE. It's almost scary perfect, it made the bike too smooth to be a Harley.
I think Rocketdude said it was "soft" (just what we all want to hear), but it isn't soft, it's just smooth while it is rippin. I see what he was trying to say though.
I may not be giving it a fair test, because it pains me to putt around slow enough to feel something down there.

OK, so as I was saying earlier in the other thread...I have a "patched" version of the Jester III available for anyone who is experiencing the stutter/cough at 2-2.5k. So far it only seems to affect some folks with CV carbs.

It was written with grabbing throttle in mind, not for putting.

Okay, I found the new thread. Thanks Rico.
The weather is really warming up here. I'll probably take the bike out of hibernation this weekend.

I'll be thinking about you riding, while I am wrenching. Try the Jester map I sent you. It leaves nothing on the table as far as power goes, but it is so much smoother. It'll blow you away. I predict that you'll be Jester Mafia before the weekend is through.

Thanks Rico....I received the map. I'll try it, but I've been so happy with my Hooligan. It gives me so much power throughout the entire RPM range. It's a terrific riding experience. I do always enjoy trying your newest creations....thanks again for all that you do for us!
Good luck wrenching! I can't wait for your first ride report. When do you think you'll be on the road again?

Once you try the new map, you won't go back. This map is 4G. I don't know how soon I'll be back on the road. I intend to ship the heads to the Dan's on Monday. So whatever the turnaround plus shipping time is, plus a day or so to put it back together.
I do however have a brand new map I've done for it.
