Why Rico said is right! The dtt people don't do anything or even build the unit for the sporty! The fact that they work is treated like an accident!!!!!!

So with that in mind use the settings that Rico said u should have"ok" luck my bike didn't like any combo.

I'd run the IT at 5 and the IA at 5.Try it, and adjust from there. Only change one at a time when testing. Find the extremes and shoot for the middle. You should hear the changes and feel it.

Right... I understand; if I remember correctly that' what I was told when I first built the motor a couple of years ago...

A Sportster engine configured like yours, needs a proper high compression Sportster map, not a modified Twin Cam map. The fact of the matter is, I wouldn't run any of the flash maps on that build if it were mine.

And just to echo what Dave said...Daytona doesn't know shit about Sportster mapping. That module was never designed with the Sportster in mind. It's only because of the work done by members of the XLForum that it is such a great addition to a carbed Rubbermount.

We are Daytona's bastard step children !
Sure we only have 3 years of bikes but I bet more units are installed on Sporty's than Twinkies !

I understand. Next week I'll ask for a proper high compression Sportster map.
6-0 it wouldn't fire... 4-0 it fired up strong! Thanks, Rico.

I don't really want to get into a pissing match over the use of a custom map over the use of the canned maps in the module but.... the fact is, the canned maps work just fine if you have the switches set right. I've paid the price of admission, It aint rocket science.

I am not doubting you... Would u care to explain? Because my bike even on the settings everyone said would work would make my bike virtually unstartable it would back fire on startup and instantly start to ping. So I programmed a voodoo map and bam done! Bike runs great. My local Harley dealer won't install the tc88a on any sportster for the same problem I had with the canned map.
