I will periodically squirt 90 wt oil on it just like the drive chain to the rear wheel.

[QUOTE=Kmanator;5695060]Thanks man!...The motor sprocket was the key to the puzzle for me as well to get the sporty 35 series 3 row chain to the big twin 428 series double row chain to connect to the big twin trans..What I did was mill down the sporty motor sprocket in to a "Hub' and then press fit with a .008" interference fit into a shovelhead compensator sprocket,After the offset was established it was welded together. For my build with the late model [Twincam]five speed trans I used a .500 offset final drive sprocket to get the sweet spot between the the motor sprocket,82 link primary chain and the final drive 530 non O ring chain.

Hell yeah man! That's going to be a huge help! Thank you. I'm stoked for mine. One of these days I'll post up a build thread for mine. I just finished the engine today.

I could be wrong, but that chain was made to run constantly thru an oil bath. The occasion it needs to be oiled is always. Maybe you could rig up a total loss oiler?

Yes,Primary chain is a duplex vs.A roller chain like the rear...History shows they last approx 5000 miles running open,Rain being the culprit of the longevity. At $20 bucks a pop for a replacement I consider a new chain every season as a consumable.
