This will probably be the beginning of a slippery slope for me...

Looks great!
Have fun on that slope! 😎

If you don’t like the 1” bars and are looking to go 7/8” bars, here is a cheaper way to get the same results.

Biltwell aluminum throttle tube/grip over 1” bars.

Cheap Renthal 7/8” grip over 1” bars.

Factory Buell 7/8” both sides

1” Hd throttle tube with 7/8” grip

I’m going to replace 1” grip with another biltwell so it matches the clutch side. You can order soft, medium or hard grips with lots of different textures and patterns. I recommend you give it a shot if you don’t like your current fatty grips. The biltwell is kinda pricey for 50 dolla, but well worth it while trying to launch no bar and hang on. Anyone have a measurement of basic factory rubber grips? I forgot to get one.

1, 2 and 3

Did some shake down riding Sunday with the 2 street bikes. The boy passed his motorcycle test a few weeks ago so he’s legal to ride with me.

Here’s the factory rubber grips

I really like those biltwell grips that you pictured

Thanks for the measurement! Yes, I’m definitely ordering another biltwell throttle tube for my long bike.

Thanks for posting those grips/measurements. I’m probably gonna grab them too. I’ve had issues with my stock grips being too greasy/slippery at times.

Yes, agreed! Factory grips suck! Biltwell is 50 and Renthal or any other mainstream motocross grips are very fair priced and offer great tackiness.
