Default rocker box leaking ask about Umbrella valve

I am putting new gaskets on my front rocker box on my 1993 1200 Sportster.
First time doing this repair very easy and enjoyable but I have a question about Umbrella valves. My Genuine James gaskets include two Umbrella valves. I am assuming that only one Umbrella valve is inserted in each rocker box mid section even thought there's two areas where the valves could go only one is required per section?

Yeppers, just one per mid section.
The middle box can be used on front or back thus the reason for the 2 areas you can put the umbrellas on each one.

Here is a pic of them installed, both go on the intake side of the head you are working on.

If your OG rocker gaskets are like those on my 1991, they just crumbled when I removed them to replace. I used Cometic gaskets, and not one leak at all.

Just an update I used Genuine James gaskets and all went well. Even removed , cleand and teflon taped timing plug. No leaks anywhere! Appreciate the help.
