i like nifty gadgets as much as anyone,but if i/you already have a volt/ohm meter w/continuity buzz .90.00 for the Morris box seems uneconomical.

I've been using battery and lights and ohm meters for 50 years.
I bought the Morris buzz box a few years back and it works perfectly for me.
As I understand it the box measures inductance rather than flow. Does this mater in practice ?
Not as far as I can tell.
Yes, it's not for everyone. It is expensive. But I have so many thousands of dollars invested in tools it doesn't matter to me.

I have multiple mag-fired XLCH's, so I feel like I am constantly checking timing. The Morris Magneto buzz box that I posted the link to above work perfectly for me too. It makes it easy to check the timing on your own when you are on the opposite side of the bike watching the line in the timing hole and don't have to watch the points or for a light to come on. Just listen for the buzz.
