Thanks!

I just got a new stator and when I replace it I will be sure to zip tie extend the protective cover so it covers the entire length of the wires to keep this from happening again

Thanks again Chris for so eloquently sharing your adventure. And thank the lovely Michelle, she’s a definite keeper.

We spoke the other day, are you good with the charging system now? Head back on the motor?

Thanks Paul, head is back on and just picked up a new stator. Hope to have that replaced next week.

That's a lot of miles.

Thanks for posting your report (with the pics). You need a video camera on the bike so that you can have pics without stopping.

That's the way I felt riding only 200 miles to the WV meet in 2019. I would never be able to ride those distances.

Glad you made it back safe.

You have a great wife who is willing to (let) help you enjoy yourself in this way - Very unselfish of her. I'm sure you put effort into making & keeping her happy the other 11 months of the year.

A few years ago I took a drive from the UK to Italy. I set a GoPro to take a picture every couple of minutes.

A lot less memory use than video but then no way of knowing if it captured a particular moment.

Voice activation would be pretty cool to turn on a video for a short sequence as you spot something.

I do have a gopro that I have not mounted yet, it's on my list. The problem is if I have it on video then I need to review and edit. Having it take a photo periodically would be good for those long stretches of nice scenery, but not for when I come across something. Will need to think about this ...

Thanks, saying she lets me do this is an understatement. She truly supports me doing this. Of course she is not thrilled by my desire to ride in the Hoka Hey this summer, something about being old with a bad back and sleeping on the ground, or something like that
