I received my order today from BMI Karts and it is a 3 piece oil ring set. The box is marked Dixie Distributing 1725 Woodland Ave, Columbus Ohio

Wouldn't a Total Seal gapless top ring be the 'best' choice here? Seems like now would be the best time to do it.

I'm glad you asked. I have kicked the idea around but don't have the answer. I've got a set of regular rings from BMI Karts that have the 3 piece oil ring so as long as they fit the piston grooves properly and the end gap in the cylinder looks good that's what I'll use.

Superior/Dixie....
Shame they're not around anymore...
I remember buying K pistons there for my KHK, less than $10.00 trade for a complete piston in 2009, and superb quality on top...

In fact they are still in the KHK which in the meantime has been supercharged on methanol as most of you know...
