Other than major surgery on either the UL cylinders, the Evo crankcase, or both, I would have bet it can't be done.

If you look close you'll see that in fact these are not Evo Sportster cases.

While they do look very much like HD stuff and they are clearly modeled on them, they ain't them.

FP were bought out a few years back by S&S. Those guys put more money into what FP were doing but eventually stopped perusing that dream.
The guys at FP bought back the name from S&S and are now working again.

And I can't tell you how many times people told me I couldn't do what I was doing.

If the cases and cover were "stretched" and the cam center distance increased: problem solved, just use UL cams to put the lobes and tappet blocks under the valves.

They are not using UL cylinders, they made their own cylinders and did the adjusting up top.

They don't call me Ironhead Rick just because I'm hard headed

I too, once dreamed if building my own engine.

Started with the idea of building something very simple. Single cylinder 500cc. Started learning what I could about casting alloy.

But as time goes on you start looking at engine design and you think, it's justnearly as easy to build something a bit more "special" like a twin. And then you look at how much work you need to do to start machining all the required bits and you think "I know, I'll use existing parts" and the whole process becomes much easier. But the farther you go down that hole the more you come to realise you might just as well by a Ducati V-Twin engine and be done with it.

Well, that's what I figured out for myself.
