Ironheads are smaller than Evos, especially older ones with the forged frames. Oh, an no ironhead should have a 16” rear wheel!

^^^ don't sweat it.all XL's came with the 16'' rear wheel begining in late'79.

Pretty sure previous owner swapped things around. Front caliper is a Wilwood also.

I put some 10 1/2" shocks on my 81. I'm 200 and don't have a problem bottoming out. I think the stock shock made the bike sit up like a dirt bike.

I didn't look at the brand of 10.5" shock the previous had on there. It was a very hard ride, little travel
A better shock might have made the ride ok, I like the look of the 12.5" myself.
