The analogy that comes to mind is having a Sportster with a peanut tank that takes nine hours to fill when you need gas.

The good news is that DCFC is going to be all over the place soon.

If I owned a restaurant or a bar, I would be looking at installing some DCFC and Level 2 charging capacity in the parking lot. Stores and office buildings too. Anywhere that people hang out for an extended period of time is a good candidate for a charging station. I bet charging stations in parking areas are going to become part of the commercial building code after 2030.

There is no reason to go to gas stations to charge an EV. Anywhere that has commercial 480v power can also have a DCFC station, none of the environmental studies or excavation required for a gasoline filling station.

Construction workers like me are kinda screwed but I'm used to it.

The engine is quite different to compare to a Sportster engine. Parallel twin with a short stroke, higher revs, SOHC, probably easier to make it EU regs. compatible.
Triumphs are actually water cooled. It's pretty hard to get aircooled engines through Euro 5 compliance. The Royal Enfield 650's are air / oil cooled but only have pretty puny power output.
