I had a weird miss on my 2003 883 before, it ended up being worn out vacuum hoses, not broken , but cracked enough to seep air , and enough to create a miss on occasion .

IME problems that occur on high vacuum, and not WOT, are not electrical. More load makes the ignition quit, not improve.
No, it's not a sticking valve. Think about it...
I suspect a vacuum leak, manifold, intake guide. With engine idling, spray CO2, Argon, Freon, nitrogen all around the head - if the engine staggers it's an air leak.

Starting fluid works too. Just put a rag between where you are spraying it and the intake cover.
