Default Do 2004 onward seat bases fit?

I’m just looking at replacing the rather tired seat on my 1992 Evo XL.

Apart from the front mounting tab, which looks like 15min work with a pop riveter and some scrap alloy plate, do 2004-onward seats fit?

There seem to be plenty about, at no great cost...

I'm sure one of your friends with a newer Sporty would let you swap seats for a minute, to see if things match up. Or you could ask around the forum for the guys in your area to see if you can find someone willing to help you out.

The main difference is the hump in the bottom metal for the electronics stuffed under the seat.

What a bro, EVZ!

I found a NOS full length seat for my 1991 on CL for $100 about a year ago, still in the dealer bag. Sold my solo seat with pillion pad for $100 on CL a couple weeks later.

John
