Partzilla Warning
Heads up: I think Partzilla may be going the way of Bike Bandit. If you don't know the stunt BB pulled in 2021, just Google it. Just like BB, Partzilla is a vendor I satisfactorily used many times in the past, but now they are playing the same game as BB was doing when BB was going under, where they state the items are in stock, charge your credit card the day you place your order, then immediately you start receiving emails that your items are on backorder with no ETA.
At best, they are intentionally misstating the status of their stock. At worst, they are selling orders they have no intention of fulfilling.
Your results may vary, but be warned.

I've never used them but they should offer a no back order option. Call them them up and insist on that option.
They state up front that only 80% of parts are in stock.

could be a normal thing. they are in stock but in honolulu for instance. going through this now. the thing is most legit companies do not charge the card until the item ships. if they do charge, that money sits in an interest bearing account making them money all along. you have the power of a card charge-back which they will be charged a fee, but then they may blacklist you, been down that road with scummy fleabay sellers.
have you read their fine print, if not listed, they are required by law to supply it to you.
it is like an 80% chance of rain today but you are in the 20% area.

It's a cart - horse thing.
They have their priorities skewed.
They should not charge the card until the item ships.
However I see many that print a shipping label in advance, but the box doesn't get on the truck til the next day or worse. They can say they shipped it, "here's the label"....
This becomes a major issue when one gets lost that does not go on the truck the same day as the label is printed.
I have just a few parts sources, most I order through my local dealer, he gives me a discount and I pump up his numbers to help him keep the account.
I get personal service, and parts as good as he gets, he's been in the game for many years and knows who and what to avoid mostly.
And I get access to his inventory (such as it is) (excellent small parts and gasket selection for older stuff)
What he cant get me I rely on Ebay and other local traders.
Over the years and attending the swap meets as a seller and a buyer I know all the players.

+++++! mr. ryder
a poly used by ebay and amazon, especially so with 3rd party vendors through them. most require a 3 day shipping window they must meet so they print out the label, send it to ebay and such but not ship for days, sometimes weeks.
drop ship is the worst, they take your money and send the order to someone else who isn't bound by the rules.
