Default Fitting 2003 sportster seat to 2004 sportster

Has anyone done this? There is a seat that I like to buy and put on my bike. Based on the research I did 2003 has the tongue on the frame and 04 on the seat...any other difference?

I think you are talking about a considerable fab job. Frames are different.

A few people have asked about it over the years. I don't recall anyone actually going ahead and having a go at it, once they realised what would be involved.

Not worth the trouble in my book, seats should be available for your year. Even if it's a used seat at a good price it's not worth time amd expense to modify
