Default Nose cone module cooling

As I said in some other post, I made finned nose cone cover.
I started with these finns

Than I cuted out a sqare and round it

Than I made a frame out of a aluminium L profile.

I alighned the frame the best I could to make as much contact with the module as possible.

In the end I put stock cover over.

One day I'll try to make some temp measuremens with only a stock cover and with finned one... we'll see...
What do you guys think?

Did you place some type of gasket/O-ring so water does not make its way in??

I probably will, if I'll get one. Othewise I'll just put some temp resistant grease there..

Nice work. That has to help with the heat. We're you having issues from the heat sith hour ignition module?

No issues yet, this is more preventive deed. I just got this ignition second hand and I read over the web about failures of almost any kind nose cone modules. So I decided to try this...

Nice job! You could probably sell a few of those!

I probably could, but it would first be needed to simplifie fabrication. It was all made by hands with a little help of a bench grinder, if this is the right expression...

i really admire the thinking out the box. however, for it to really be effective, need to add some type of heat sink contact with the module itself. it is like putting a transistor down with the heat sinking paste on top, can not conduct heat to substrate.
there is a way to add some to your great design with a little more work and machining.
all-in-all, great "tom terriffic" hat!

I will ad some thermic paste once when it all be adjusted. I also put it between fins base and those L profile frame.
