Default Do You Have a Deer Whistle or Shu-Roo on your Bike?

This question came up the other day with some friends. I don't believe they work, but others swear by them.

Personally, I think they work just as well as guardian bells do.

Can’t speak to the “shu-roo’s”, but the deer whistles have an issue. By design they require air movement through them to be effective. The tiny hole at the bottom of the trumpet is easily blocked by a bug, dirt sand or any type of road debris. Might require a cleaning every couple miles, if that’s your choice.

I read somewhere that deer cannot hear the same frequency. I've tried them on cars and motorcycles and I saw just as many deer as always. They didn't work for me.
I do have my dog's name tag from his collar on my key ring and that makes me feel good -- I sure do miss him.
