Default 29t PULLEY

Hi oh! erudite and knowledgeable ones

Im looking for the part number for a 29t pulley for a 2000 converted 883 - 1200 non USA model.
Are the parts different for a U.S. 1200? the part over here in the UK is silly money so I am hoping to buy from the States.

Yeah, European and US Spec's are different on the rear pulley's and belts. I think the transmission drive pulley's (which your talking about) are the same. The ones in the US run about 130-150 dollars. Don't forget the cost of shipping (try and ship USPS not UPS) and Customs/Taxes coming into England.

The Harley part number for 93/94 is: 40202-91A

I don't think it changed for 95. The only one I could find at a Harley Dealer was at Chicago Harley. Here: http://www.chicagoharley.com/shop/ad...=40202&x=0&y=0

That shows a pulley kit for 239 bucks.

You can get just the pulley from J&P Cycles for $129.99 Here: http://www.jpcycles.com/product/601-391

Not sure what the difference is between a kit and the pulley. Might want to call Chicago Harley to find out. Although, if it's as expensive to call from England as it is from Italy it's probably not worth it. Most of these big places won't answer emails but, you might try it. Good luck!

Thanks jharback. Ive done some delving and come up with the part number 40202-91B, which appears to be the same both sides of the water but just wanted to check before ordering one. Prices are really silly here ive been quoted between 200 and 275 GBP. thats $329 to $452. Gulp!

Yeah, it's pretty much the same here. Even with customs, taxes, and shipping included it's usually cheaper to order from the States.

BTW, sorry for referring to your location as England. I noticed after the fact that your Welsh. Didn't mean to demean you.

UPS drastically increased prices about a year ago. The UPS prices are about 2 1/2 times that of USPS. You can email J&P Cycles (they're really good about returning emails) and ask them how much shipment will be. For just a pulley (about 2 pounds) it shouldn't be too bad. At least I wouldn't think so.
