go with a peanut tank with an old school ducati single style cafe seat google 70s ducati 350 cafes for picts of what i mean because i dont have enough post to link a pict but i think the shape would blend well togeater

That silver tail piece is for a flat track Triumph, from http://www.thetankshop.com/, but they do make stuff for Sportsters. Also check out http://www.wilcoxmetal.com/ for tanks to drool over.
