One of the early shirts I had said. I have a Harley, not just a tee shirt. It was part of the mystique, the easy rider horse shit. Being part of the select club. All marketing schemes.

I remember hearing this back in the 1980's. A lot of riders were wearing Harley T-shirts and riding Jap. I think they figured they would more acceptable in the bars and saloons. So they were called the "T-shirt Club".
I think spending 2-4 hrs pay on a T-shirt more than earns you the right to wear one. You're supporting an American Motorcycle Company.

That happened to my Bates leather jacket. After about 40 years it had shrunk to where I just gave it to sister in law. Rode down to Bates and had them make me another in the same style from back then. Ya just wouldn't think good leather would shrink.

I noticed it too. It's the dreaded Cattle Shrink. In serious cases it happens even after 10 years. Nothing you can do about it...

They're investigating it in Ontario.

I think you are on to something here. I didn't realize that cattle prods caused it or I would have asked (nicely of course) the wife to quit using it on me. Well, while wearing that jacket of course.
