Slowing down late in the riding season?

How do you like the EFI bike so far?
Filling up every 150 miles or so does slow you down some.

Attempted to install a turn signal and license plate relocation kit. No dice, the wire was cut when fishing it through he tubing. So I put it back to stock. I need to find a way to smooth out inside the tubing, most likely just some jagged power coat.
Yesterday I installed the mustache/engine guards. That went smoothly, not sure if I like the looks though.

LOL, I had to finish up at my father's machine shop for the month of July, so those miles were mainly in August and September. Plus a weekend or two with the wife, and a weekend of simply doing nothing because I could

I like it, really no different than my carbed bike except it doesn't cough and sputter when I first start out. I miss the extra mileage when I am doing rallies and trips, plus a bit nervous that I may not see when the low fuel light come on.

I washed my 2007 Sporty and then dropped off at the Indy to do a state inspection, put the HD badges on my almost new tank, and replace my badly leaking rocker box gaskets

Took advantage of the rain we’ve had and installed my new SuperBrace on the
XL1200V “72”.

Fasteners are metric and just deep enough in the counterbores so an off the shelf 5mm hex on a ratchet is a tad short. Other than that,
it went on smooth as silk.

Used the “Fuel Tools” check valve repair kit on my quick disconnect fitting.
Had it in Two days from Amazon Prime.

It fixed the horrible leak that took 4 of those blue paper shop towels to soak up off my shop floor.

I made sure to lube the O-rings before assembly and it took minutes.

Then I went for a test ride and got it inspected so I can renew my reg..

The Power Vision tuner I ordered came today and I muddled through the instructions and got the tune it came with uploaded to the bike. It seems much better - much, much less surging at slow, in-town speeds and it feels like there's more acceleration at happy throttle settings as well. It's a shame that I had to spend $400+ to make a stock bike run like it should but I can't say I'm sorry I did it.

2014 1200C, stock mechanicals and exhaust.

I went through the same situation, but I tried to fix it the cheap way, to no avail. Finally got the power vision, and that cured most of my problems with the engine. The final issue was a bad 'bank angle sensor' aka 'tip over sensor'. It is a shame that is the way things are today.

Installed new clutch and break levers and new clutch lever mount bracket after function testing my crash bars yesterday morning. While I was picking up those parts I also picked up a Sundowner Solo seat.
