My last bike was a 90 just like that, same color even. It's got two of the things I wish my 02 had: the rims and crank vent.

I still have the original owners manual if you are interested. It's not like i need it.

It's quite possible that the bike was a 91 model sold in 90. Usually the new year models debut in September. So September of 90 would be the the the 91s hit the market.
