Keep it. You never know when the politicians will get stupider & make you get the bike inspected, if you don't have to yet.

On the EFI bikes, just replacing or modifying the exhaust doesn't require any ECU changes. The ECU can compensate for that little bit of a change with no further intervention. I've got custom baffles in stock mufflers & an Arlen Ness Big Sucker air filter set-up & have no other mods on the motor or ECU & it runs just fine. No popping on decel, doesn't seem to run hot, 46 mpg & a top speed of about 115 mph.
