Default Once you go Thunder Monster you never go back

At least that's what I hope. My Hooker Step Tuned Drag Pipes work great, but they're too quite. When I first bought them they came without baffles. I rode around like that for a couple weeks. Sound level was about right, not too loud, just about right. There was a problem though. The mid range was weak, so I ordered a set of Hooker 3/4" baffles that Hooker recommended and wala, problem solved. Except for one thing. TOO QUITE. They work great but they're too quite. I think the main reason these pipes don't tend to be very loud is the first 6 " of header coming from the port is only 1 1/2" dia.

So hopefully Thunder Monster to the rescue. What I hope is louder with no loss to the mid range.

Who's got Thunder Monsters, and how do you like them?

FYI the pipe I had before was a Thunder Header.

I love mine! Put them in a cheap set of Cycle Shack drags and the difference is amazing!

I've been looking at those for a while. I might just pick a set up for my sideshots.

Wait - louder but with no performance impact? Do you drink decaf coffee too?

Like tits on a boar, no reason for it in my opinion. If you are not making it better, why bother?

My guess is these things will sound like crap - all bark, no tone. Let us know how it works out though.

Educate yourself before bashing. These are the best sounding baffles I have heard. ALOT of R&D has gone into the design of these baffles. They absolutely are not just a pipe with a washer welded on a stick.

Biknut, I have a set of these in my SEII's. I absolutley love the sound they present. Trust me, they are not quiet. They are not overly loud when cruising, but you open it up and holy sh!t they will bark. They have a nice deep rumble with none of that tinny/raspy sound alot of pipes present. There are a few threads on here about them. You'll love them!

If you run into any issues instaling them or have questions give them a call. I talked with the owner when I was installing mine due to a slight alignment issue. He was very willing to help and a stand up guy.

Ive got them in me SE II's, and they are great. Idling about the same--maybe a little louder than the stock SEII baffles. Open the throttle, and wow!!!.

They have an extremely nice sound when cruising at 3,000 to 4,000 rpm.

Easy there Sport... I'm not bashing anything (re-read the part where I said "my guess...") - I've just seen too many BS products with totally un-backed claims. Sound is subjective. You may think they sound awesome but I would likely disagree - louder is rarely better in my experience.

As for the product, snake oil is snake oil no matter how you package it. This one looks like a scam to me (especially after reading the site). Perhaps I'm just a jaded old bastard, but if I had a nickel for every dohicky like this I've seen over the years, I could buy the MoCo. If I had a nickel for every one that actually worked, I wouldn't have enough for a cup of joe. Odds are against it.

Funny, cause thats exactly what they look like to me.
If it works, awesome, but the jury is out as far as I'm concerned.

What a struggle that was. Cussing, hammering, beating. It took almost 10 minutes and got my hands dirty.
