Didn’t get much done today. Put the carb and bracket on and torqued the manifold down. Tomorrow I’m going to try and put the new VOE switch in and wire in the ignition module. Then clean up the wiring get the coil in and tank on.

This is exactly why some of us () keep everything. It's a law of physics. The exact second that you get rid of something is the exact moment in time when all the forces of the universe start working towards finding you a need for it.

When I drop dead, the wife will probably stand there with a pile of my crap asking when are you going to need this, or this, or that, or, whatever this thing is!?

Last night I ordered a new stock speedo mount and a new petcock. The old speedo mount was bent up a bit from laying the bike down some years ago. I have decided to put the stock tank back on. The after market tank I was running looked good but didnt function the way I would of liked it to. I need to replace the ignition key switch and wanted to ask what some of you have used before I order a new one. Is there one out there that is not a standard key? I would like to find one that is a round key but can find them to fit older models this is what Im looking at can I make it work?

Question. Has anyone had to relocate the VOES switch? The reason I ask is I got a new one . It seems with the 06 heads and manifold there is less space between the motor mount and carb. So if I relocate it and add a longer hose will it affect the pressure of the vacuum? Also do the 01 and 06 have the same length of switch or are they different?
