Checked it out it has part # 19 on it for big twins . I have Dyna throttle cables on the bike so I’m thinking I don’t need 19a on it. Am I right? I do have a 19a in my old parts box if needed.

I’m not gaping my rings I had Hammer do that. Yesterday when looking for a bearing puller I came across this and was shocked. The tools my father in law kept surprise me all the time. I thought some of you old timers would appreciate this.

So I didn’t have much time to work on the bike tonight. I installed the roller rockers and new rocker pins.

After installing them I found the front ones have very little clearance on the valve side of the rocker box. Do I need to add some clearance? Here is a picture. I have never had roller rockers before so I don’t know if this is ok. I couldn’t find anything in the shop manual.

What size roller rockers are those? I wonder if the best option would be to have a machine shop use a mill to remove the material from the valve area (for consistency), rather than doing it by hand?

I think I might be over thinking this. I took the rocker box and placed it on the head. The valves fully closed and the roller was not even close to the housing.
