*: this relates specifically to a 1200 Low. 883 Lows, from '07 on, have shorter shocks, the same as the Nightster.

have you thought about selling or trading for a custom?

my 2010 1200 low has 16" rear and 19" front wheels.
im gonna swap to a 21" front, cause i prefer the look of a 21".

i was under the impression is had less travel front and rear, but who knows.
i would love to know for sure.
That's something that I might just look into, swapping bikes if I can find one.

13.5" shocks gave me a lot more cornering clearance. She was great on dirt roads when I went touring last month (fitted with A/T tyres) BUT I put some effort into protecting the pin/tang the jiffy stand spring attaches to on the frame - they're pretty vulnerable. I broke mine off a couple of years ago just riding off a low curb.

Ronnies parts finder is a great resource, especially when researching differences between years, models, etc...
