Default Evolution billet clutch basket

Good morning all! A couple of days ago I picked up a brand new evolution industries billet clutch basket with ring gear. Says it accepts stock clutch. I installed the clutch hub into the new basket, and for the life of me I haven't been able to get the clutch compressed enough to get the retaining ring in place! I didn't have any trouble with getting it together 6 months ago, or anytime before that either! Anyone have any experience with this? It's a really nice basket! So want to get it going!!

Check instruction, you may have to delete a steel plate at the first plate in.

Checked the j p cycles box it came in, no instructions. Just vacuum sealed! Been looking online, all kinds of instructions for one of their terminator clutch but not stock style. Dammit man!

Did you ever get this issue sorted out? I was considering upgrading to one of these for my Iron? I had one in my 2015 Street Glide and I certainly agree, it is a nice basket! The only problem I had with mine was, 1/2 a tooth broke off of one of the ring gear teeth. It never posed any trouble with operation and the piece of the broken tooth was found clinging to the primary drain plug magnet.
