How do I smooth out a cut that deep though? I don't have a dremel, can I file it down?

Just file out the burrs otherwise you will play hell putting the disc's back in
I filed mine.
Might pull the rotor and look for debris that will short the stator

Okay. When I was taking out the friction plates, one was like hell getting out and looked like it had stuck on it. Had to use a magnet to get them out, though the oil suction makes it difficult. Lots of sludge in there too.
