Looks to be a much higher quality bearing than the amazon cheapies. The mention of nylon in the cage material makes me question it, but its probably no biggie anyways.
The FAG 7200B-TVP is also sold on Amazon btw but is a much better bearing. Twice the price of the cheap Chinese 2 packs.

Several bearing manufacturers have been purchased by companies owned by Soros. Like many of the previous companies he has purchased, most of these companies end up producing crap under the namesake of a reputable brand.

a lot will be said by country of manufacturer. i avoid China, Taiwan, Brazil, Mexico for bearings,
Germany, Switzerland, Japan and USA. i will use.. I have sent back several bearings to my parts houses because of country of manufacturer.. there are many bearing manufacturers out there. someone is still making the good ones.

If I ever deal with this bearing again, and I'm sure I will at some point, I'm going to get that high quality 7200B bearing

Kind of makes me think of Craftsman.... Used to be decent middle of the road tools, made in America and warrantied.... I have jumped ship to Horrid Fright tools... They are actually pretty decent, I love the composite ratchets, which is funny because a few years ago I never would have owned them because they're chinese and plastic. But I love them now, got 4 of each size 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2

Been using one of those for quite a while now. I can't say I've used a lot of them, but I've yet to have an issue with a Japan made Nachi.

Just for my information...
What's the life span of the OEM throw out bearing?

in my previous ride i rolled nearly 90k kms in 16 years without issues... (apart the grenade plate detonated at 60k)....

i just was lucky or what?

No way to tell. Do you have a stiffer spring? Do you sit at stop signs or traffic lights with the trans in gear, clutch pulled in? What primary oil? A bunch of things probably have an effect.

It's just a textbook example of using the wrong bearing for the application. You get away with it 'til you don't...

The biggest problem is pulled clutch at red lights. I've seen a lot car clutches where the friction plate was lalmost like new, but the "push" bearing and those splines were toast at around 100k km (cca 60k miles). Mine previous car had more than 300k km (cca180k miles) and the clutch was still good. Never pressed if not needed to.
