Been there done that, at least you dont have to reweld the shock studs like I had to. Just follow the book about the torques, what bolts go where ETC. oh yeah this is also is the time to do any engine mods!!! I also wish you luck with the swingarm bearings if you replace them, biggest PITA ever.

The painted pieces with the two bolts going through them attach to the frame. They need to be removed and then the engine is pulled out from the left side of the frame. It is quite a squeeze and I had to remove the rear cylinder valve cover for that extra half inch.

Details please. Did you just unplug it and hide the wiring? Did you eliminate the neutral or oil pressure switch?

I unplugged the entire speedo wire harness from the female connection under the tank and pulled the whole unit from the bike...speedo, dummy lights and all attatched wires.
