All of the above info and second the tar snakes and epoxy white & yellow lane lines and markers. Additionally, this time of year presents itself with it getting darker sooner along with wet leaves on the roadways that can be slippery. Practice braking, then practice some more, no matter that I have been riding 50 years, I still practice braking on a weekly basis to keep my skill level up. You can never have too much braking practice. Enjoy!

Lots of good advice, thanks. Ended up working in the parking lot. Low speed maneuvers and then a lot hard breaking. Got it to slide some on emergency stops, not on purpose, but now I know what it feels like. I did have better traction than I imagined, like the video said.

practice on a motorcycle will improve your confidence in so many areas. there are so many motorcyclists that once they learn to "ride" they never think about practicing or improving their technique whatsoever. i ride with some guys that have been riding 30+ years yet they can't do a u-turn without putting their feet down and duck walking.

glad you were able to get some good info and put it to use.
