Default Best way to 883->1200cc ?

I've been thinking to increase hp to my rubbermount 2005 883 Sporty.

I've been thinking about buying an as new as possible crashed 1200.
Is the engine frame same 2004-2019?

Intake manifold and flanges are different 2007->.
Need to change the ignition.
What else?

Extra: Can make a bigger 1250, 1275 conversion sometimes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second way is 883-1200 conversion.
Need to change the ignition too.

Less hp, because of worse (883) heads?
Still better acceleration, because of 883 gear-ratio?
Worse cams, than 2007-> ?
Can't make a bigger conversion due to 883 heads.
Weaker clutch spring.

Hi.

I don't have budget.

The 1275 is the most expensive/ hardest way, I think.

I don't have a exact budget for my hobby.
My hobby is a bottomless money spend target

I was thinking of building the engine in next winter. We have snow in the country for half a year. Lucky you

Ebay has 1200 engines for sale at ~2000$ .
S&S Hooligan 1200 conversion kit with cams, pistons, gaskets and tappets is ~1500$
Stock 1200 heads in Ebay are about 300$/ pair. 883 heads does not fit to +1200 conversion kits.
DYNA TC88-2P ignition is 300$

Only 1275 conversion kit with pistons costs about 800$, does no include cams, tappets and heads.

So the ~same amount of money goes, made no matter what

(Prices in Finland)

Suggest you read, do youtube and ask questions for a bit, form a good solid plan.
Some real good Sportster guys in Finland, lots of experience.
Hammer Performance is in my humble opinion the best value for the money.
Good luck

Hammer Performance is the best way to go. The customer service is top notch as well. I've done three of their kits. I love them.

Not true....
you can fit a 1275 kit and still use your 883 heads.
