I have an aversion to blinding the drivers of oncoming cars.

Both of my other bikes have 7" sealed beams, I have been waiting for one for the small light on the Ironhead.

Looks like that one may need a bucket extension to clear the stock rats nest in the headlight.
If you mean that big xxxx-off rubber band thing that is a complete bastard to get the light back into then yes you probably will. My bike had one already in and the new light would not have gone in without it.

I am a stickler for DOT approval as light scatter from non-approved lights can impede the vision of an oncoming driver as much as leaving it on high beam.
At least that means the bugger will see you!

I want to be see, and be seen. However there is a line easily crossed where you blind an oncoming driver, which is a stupid thing to do.

I have had to wear sunglasses at night because of assholes with illegal lights.
Mostly due to the NON-DOT approved HID conversion kits, LED conversions fall into this category as well.
What is ironic is that, the increased output of these lights that the unwashed desire actually can limit their own field of vision. Because that light is lighting areas that they don't need lit causing glare (and blinding oncoming drivers).

The projector lights with the sharp cutoff provide an amazing improvement over any other headlight in production (for both the driver and oncoming traffic).
