You will need an idler sprocket/pulley on the underside of the chain. Dirt bikes and mountain bike have them. Sometimes there are fixed, and sometime spring tensioned. I think you will have to fabricate or adapt something from a different bike.

I just did a quick search in the google box below for “ chain tension idler” and found info on this forum.

x2 - I agree on removing those blocks for now.

If I'm thinking about all of this right, I'd imagine a smaller front and rear sprocket setup with a chain would give you more clearance with that brake component that your belt is contacting given the factory belt pulleys/sprockets are so big...but...I'd be concerned with one clearance issue being resolved while potentially introducing another one with something else getting in the way along the chain path with your swing arm angle like that. It's all kind of hard to tell without seeing the bike in person. At the end of the day there is a resolution for everything, sometimes it takes a little studying first.

Could you post some more pics? Perhaps include one a couple feet away so we can see the entire swing arm assembly and belt routing. It may not hurt to remove the belt guard so we can see the upper belt routing also if not too much trouble. I’m having a hard time visualizing it all with the current pictures so that should help and I can compare them to the my bike in person.
