Hope you find some peace and clear roads again soon Iree. Maybe headphones for the reggae Hope Ireeson is staying strong.
Wish my lawn was green Rok. No amount of sprinkling seems to be getting it there.
How many sleeps before the big day Fred?
Pleased you got some 2 wheel wind therapy Jay, even if it was to work. Hope you managed to bypass that headache.
Neat pics Dec. Looked like great weather. Getting close to hibernation time again?
Dan, hope you aren't working 24/7.

I've been pining for a moving genie to transplant me without the need to pack any more boxes. Though in the process today I did get some grease under my nails. Was the first time in ages... didn't manage to achieve much, but it was oddly satisfying to work on a bike for a change. Back to boxes again tomorrow though.

My fingernails have nothing but grease under them. I've been trying to replace a head gasket on my old Chevy truck. It's not a simple of a task as it sounds. Then working on Ruby when the parts finally come in. Plus side, I rode Bruiser to work today. Jay, I hope you're taking full advantage of this weather! No way to carry coffee on Bruiser, so I'm off to hit the work dispensary. Hope ya'll have a good one!

Bah. No can ride again as of yesterday. My headache got worse at work on Wed night and my face started swelling up. Went to dentist first thing yesterday morning who squeezed me in between her appointments, that was 9:15. A x-ray and once over and she told me I was having a root canal...at 10:30....in a town 30 miles away, by a specialist. Looked at the clock on her wall it said 9:40

I checked out with my swollen face and headache and hauled ass to Aiken SC to find the doctors office. Once I found him and got checked in I was in good hands. They were really nice folks. They do painful things to you, but are nice while they do it. From what it sounded like during the situation, dude was boring holes between 22 and 23 mm into my jaw. This was my first of this type situation, so I ain't a root canal virgin no more.

So by 1PM yesterday I had been thru a root canal and was heading home, all unplanned. Missed work yesterday and now have my monthly "long weekend" off that we cherish and spend the other three weeks rotating shifts for....to sit around eating soft food, taking meds then sleeping them off. Miz and my Mom are ganging up on me about riding my bike. They claim air will get into my tooth...I dont think they have thought about my FF helmet though.

I had been planning on getting some riding in this weekend before all of this tooth business. Now it looks like I will sit around and heal instead. One of the meds makes me sleepy as hell. I have to figure out which one it is and stop taking it before I can drive anything, especially my bike. To take my meds I have to eat, so last night Miz made me a shephards pie- it was great! Since she is at work today I made myself some eggo waffles and put like 1/4 bottle of aunt jamiamah on each one along with some butter. Now a short while later I think I will take a nap.The other bummer is that I can not have coffee for a while, supposedly hot foods and liquids will be a bad thing to the one root canal harlot molar that I have. All my other teeth are perfectly fine with coffee, but not that one, noooo. It has to dictate what everybody else can do Probably shoulda had that thing just pulled out I guess. Going to have to drink cold bevarages instead. Hmmmmm After my nap though.

This is Cotton1 checking out, Yall keep em straight out there!

It won't hurt you to ride. I rode the trike to an appointment, had 2 wisdom teeth cut out by oral surgeon. Packed gauze in my jaws to keep blood from dripping out while I was riding. Got on the trike and rode it 25 miles back home. If you don't want air in your mouth, just keep your mouth shut. I was riding with open face helmet and wrap shield. No problem at all.

Disclaimer - Don't have any women around the house to tell tell me what to do, so I can get away with doing stupid stuff.

I would if I could, but I cant. So have a cup for me somebody. Hope you made your trip all dry yesterday Rok.

Trace- I am starting to become a excellent nap taker. Tooth feels better now.

It only felt that way. My longest day in the past week was 20 hours and that did me in for the rest of the week. It was also my first week back on days, so that didn't help.

Fortunate for me, I've now had both lots of naps and lots of coffee!

Cotton - Sorry to hear about the root canal! And, lack of coffee. This too will pass.

Trace - How many boxes packed?? If you come across a spare bracket for the D&D, feel free to post it to me.

Rok - Hope you were able to get some BBQ time in, even if not as planned.

20 hours is probably long enough! As for boxes; no where near enough is the answer. Haven't come across the bracket yet, but if/when I do I'll pop it in the post.
