Default Dirt bike tires

I love the look of dirt bike tires, especially on choppers and Sportsters. I want to get more info on how to go about it, if it's worth it, also about ride performance and just experiences from others. I saw a picture of a bike from Rouserworks and also from Bling Cycles that both look insanely awesome with dirt bike tires on them, so let me know what's up and just give me some help guys, Thanks!

Shinko makes a few dual-sport style tires in pretty common sizes...

Is that what you're looking for?

Before you get all set on "dirt tires" two things to check
1= speed rating
2= load rating

One of my pals had them on a 750 and the knobs broke off
at speed. Not a good thing,bike got very loose and almost
put him down.

Check on Duro tires. I have Avon Distanzia on my sporty not as knobby as some but I like the aggressive thread and good at highway speeds.

BTW I used to live a couple of miles from Bling's shop when it was in Asbury Park, love that look also.

I used trials tires on my Yamaha XT600 dual-sport, and they did great for that style of bike, and for the bike's weight. One thing to remember about dual-sport tires (and bikes) is that they don't do on or off road really well. You can't excel at both, and you'll always be giving up something whether on dirt or the street. So, you'll have to decide just how much you want them, and what type of riding you're really going to want to do.

You should start a new thread with this question rather than hi-jack this one. Welcome to the Forum, though.
