Default Titanium pushrods?

I have been reading up on lighter valvetrain components, springs/retainers/valves/pushrods and looking into some options as far as pushrods go, I wonder if anyone here as ever tryed using a diffrent kind of pushrod from what seems to be the standard 4140 adj for most custom builds?, I know that Jims is making titanium HD pushrods now and I found a few interesting sites with some info... thoughts anyone?

I really like these and would give them a try

Jessell valve trains are the top dollar rage at AHDRA events on mega inch and mega dollar 45 degree pro gas engines, reference Mike Lozano's 186" pro gas bike.....................Steve

Kazoom, I don't know how I missed this the first time around (I was probably too busy puttn' miles on the S2), but it's definitely struck an interest. Thanks for the links.

I think it's a very good idea if you,ve got the jack. When possible I would always go with Jims. They're Harley experts.

The prices seem pretty reasonable, compared to the cost of titanium valves or S&S pieces. $60 for fixed length chromoly pushrods or $160 for titanium. Replacing a few key valvetrain components with titanium pieces could make a significant performance boost and reliability boost. A huge plus for a sport touring project like my upcoming one.
