This is how it should be made https://goo.gl/photos/ZgjDJJoNuFmFrZSR7I cut it off the bottom & tig'd to the top it's the v twin manufacturing 20-0700 kit simple fix. It interfered with my pipes

Lol, yes I do. The reason I posted what I did I'd because I've been searching for ideas on how to make it work but haven't seen any good pictures of how to do it & not mess with the pipes & to help others.
