I do not recognize anyone who does not recognize what a REAL Sportster is.

All of their education is provided by Face Book, so you can't expect too much.

But ! .........

We still don't know what our average age is.

I do hope it's not over 70.

It's: 50!

You can't work it out exactly, but you can get a pretty good idea of it.

We need to discard the first and last categories ("I am just a Baby", and "Older than dirt!"); we just don't know enough about those people

Then we need to assume a 'typical' age for the other categories. So the 56 people in the '25 - 29' range, let's take the mid point of the range (27) for all of them. Some will be younger than that, and some older, but if we use 27 for all their ages, then we won't be too far out.

Then do the same for all the other ranges: '30 - 39' (34½), '40 - 49' (44½), and so on.

Then it's a bit of simple arithmetic, and we find that the average age is: 50!

Ah good !

I feel much younger already.

Or do I know feel I'm much older ? I'm above average.

But wait ! Above average always seemed like a good thing to me.

Or is this another cases of Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics ?

Anyway, back to my Bourbon.
