Default High idle code P0505

I have 2009 XL1200C. About 50,500 miles. It is having a high idle condition with code P0505. This code comes up about every 5th ride and the high idle gets worse the hotter the bike gets. Once I come to a complete stop, the idle drops down. I had the same situation about 25,000 miles ago. The Idle Air Control was replaced and all was well.
This time, the idle air control has been replaced, no change. Searched for vacuum leaks, none. Cleaned the Intake throat, etc. This situation has been growing steadily worse over a several month period and I have done other things but nothing seems to change this high idle condition.
Any ideas?
Appreciate any help.

Check all your battery connections, grounds etc. post voltage reading for battery using a volt meter. should be 12.8 or a little more for full charged battery. bike at rest no tender hooked up for at least 1/2 hour. clean connections as a prevention. other members should chime in.

Intake & exhaust still stock? I run an Arlen Ness Big Sucker air cleaner & stock mufflers with modified baffles on my '09 1200C. I also used a set of Night Rider IEDs. I also experienced a high idle condition. It was intermittent & threw the P0505 code. Nothing I did fixed it, until I removed the IEDs. If you're using a tuner, or a fuel adder like the IEDs, it may be part of the problem, if it's not dialed in right. Could just be an electrical gremlin, too. Computers are a PITA & can be picky about their electrical supply. Good luck. I hope it's something simple.

On another forum, leaky fuel injectors was mentioned. I have checked that now and not the problem. The intake and the exhaust are stock and vacuum leaks, etc., with none found. Well. One day at a time. The bike has been great. I just need to keep looking. Thanks for the suggestions.

Might also check the condition of the throttle cables & return spring. A small snag/broken wire could be causing one of them to be hanging up. Not sure how heat would affect the cables, tho, unless it was right near the throttle body. Don't know whether that would throw a code, either.

I ended up replacing the cables as they were 11 years old about a month ago and it made no difference in the high idle. I also have replaced the fuel filter as just passed the 50k miles at the time. That also made no difference. I am taking it in tomorrow. See what they have to say. Thanks for the help.
