Nvm about it fitting where the black connector is, that comes from the ignition module.

Thanks very much for the pictures - That confirms the SP pin# are correct...

That connector (if holding the TSM with the connector at the top) is numbered starting in the upper left as Pin#1, below that is Pin#2 - So across the top you have Pin#1,3,5,7,9 and across the bottom you have Pin#2,4,6,8,10...

Thanks again...

Remember, the TSM feeds both front & back signals from the same wire (at the TSM - Violet for Left & Brown for Right) --- So, you actually have to get to the right spot in the wiring where you can insert the new R/B/T module without interrupting the wiring to the front signals - Only the rear signals should be fed with the output of the R/B/T module...

No need to thank me, part of being a forum member. Even though I almost lost that little bolt that holds the TSM on lol darn big hands and tight spaces!!

I do appreciate all the help you've given me, I need to do my part and remember the Sportsterpedia but thank you for still helping me.

I'm guessing I need to follow the wires from the TSM and find where they split and travel to the rear fender and cut in there to put my R/T/B module, I want to stay away from anything that goes to the front of the bike? I'm glad you mentioned that, I thought I was going to be able to cut and splice near where they leave the TSM but that would of put me into some trouble.

I noticed that there's 2 load equalizer connectors on the R/T/B module (top 2 connectors in pic), I'm assuming if I need another load equalizer for the front I can just buy a Kuryakyn equalizer and plug it into the open connector and then I'll be good to go? Idk why else there would be 2 different spots.

So I started looking at the wiring so I could figure out where I need splice and solder for the 8 pin connector for the R/T/B controller. In my pic the wires come through the main harness, through the white connector and go to 4 wires which I see for to my rear lights. I splice after the white connector correct? I'll need to figure out which of the red and green wires is the running lights and which is the brake light. I also see there's no ground so I'm going to need to run my own I'm assuming.

The wiring at the top of that connector (in your picture as oriented) comes from the TSM & also goes to the front lights - The bottom of that connector goes to the rear lights...

Use the color of the wire at the top to verify the wire functions at the bottom...
Violet - Left Side TSM Output
Brown - Right Side TSM Output
Red - Brake Light (both switches already in parallel)
Blue - Power from the Lights CB (On with Keyswitch ON)

Bottom Connector Wire Colors:
Gray (Violet Band) - Left Side TS Signal
Gray (Brown Band) - Right Side TS Signal
Red - Brake Light Signal
Green - Power for Running Light

My schematic (for 1993) shows that the bottom wiring uses Gray wire for both the Right & Left TSM connections, BUT ONE WIRE HAS A VIOLET BAND & THE OTHER WIRE HAS A BROWN BAND...

It also shows for that the bottom wiring uses a Red wire to the Brake Light & a Green Wire is used for the Running Light...

The rear lights ground thru the fender/frame - So all of the above signals are power (12v) when active - When the brake is pressed (or lever pulled) 12v power is sent to the brake light on the Red wire - the other side of the brake bulb is grounded right in the light housing to the metal fender/frame (which, of course, needs to make it back to the battery negative post)...

Before you install the R/B/T unit, you should verify you have a solid ground on the light housings (Running/Brake housing & each TSM housing) by putting your meter probes between the battery negative post & those housings - Use the ohms scale (with the Keyswitch OFF) to verify that you have a very low ohms reading...

Good Luck...
