Looks like Mobil 1 Twin has never had JASO M. Taken from: https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forum...Number=3189651
Quote:
So I sent Mobil an email and this was my reply: The only reason why Mobil1 V-TWIN 20W50 is not formally JASO-MA rated is because we were not willing to reduce the ZDDP levels.

Quote:
I run Drag Specialties Gear and Chaincase Oil for Sportsters. Exact same thing as the Sports-Trans.
Does it have a JASO rating?

Ya know, I'm not sure. Never looked since it's specifically made for the Sportster primary. Probably not because it's not a considered a motor oil. Its a GL5.

Its a GL5.
Lets hope not. Have look at shanneba's excellent oil analysis on here of GL4 v GL5 trans oil. The GL5 had double the cooper and slightly more iron than the GL4.

Well, then Harley made a big boo boo because that's what what they put in sportsters for years. Sports-Trans.
Besides, not all GL5s are created equal. I think it's a GL5 anyway. In any case, it's designed specifically for the Sportster primary.

Amsoil is probably the last oil I'd use.
