Default AA Badges On A Bike

My admin asst has 5 yrs and is quite active in her groups. She was ording up some tokens and booklets and I happened to notice there are 'Sober Riding' tokens. What a cool idea and a great thing to hold onto on bike nights.

The oil cap idea is neat and subtle. What token/chip/medallion fits?

I also like the ides of AA tokens on the calipers but it makes me feel kinda odd like its blastfomy or something to use something as seriious and as hard earned as they can be as mere decrorative trim.

Also, as proud as I am of my program, I guard it carefully and never want to take it for granted. Although I now live in the last three steps, ANY AA badging for me is still only good one day at a time.

So lets bring this back up again. Anybody have any new ideas or feelings about AA badges on a bike.

If it's something that means a lot to you, and you want to display it, I say go for it.

Kind of blows the anonymous part out of the water, but I don't see that as a good reason not to do whatever you want with your bike and tokens that you've earned. I recall seeing a company that made points and derby coversfor challenge ccoins,, you can probably find them with google

My bikes have aa stuff all over them...Plate holder, oil cap,etc...for the most part only others in AA know what the triangle is.
I wear AA shirts have bumper sticker's and want others to know I don't drink.
No big deal most people are glad that I spotted a problem and am dealing with it.

To me, it's like 12th step work. You know, we carry the message to others and this is a way I'd like to do it. However, there is still that damn pride and ego and I don't ever want to think I am any better than any other drunk on bike night.

I liked the caliper tokens best before but the 'stopping' part really brings it home. That's just cool. Thanks!

i have a chip hangin on my key. it's rough on the switch plate paint. as far as my anonymity, most i ride with know or figure it out by the 2nd or 3rd stop of a ride.(me drinkin water) it also mentions in bb about keeping it on the low or speaking of it and maybe helping others. they always say on the poker runs that i have more fun than they do.

I always put a small circle/triangle sticker on the rear fender. No one but another recovered drunk knows what it means. I ve had a few folks thru the years comment about the sticker. Some knew what it meant, and others wondered what it meant.

draboo, I had one on the back fender of my big old bike. A friend brought it to me from Scotland, but I know they're available in the US. Nothing on the Sportster just yet, but more will be revealed.
