I updated the Evo Primary/Transmission Oiling page.
Added trans vent hose routing information and some torque specs for inspection covers and drains.
It's interesting that the trans vent hose is so important yet there isn't even a mention or routing drawing in the FSMs.
I could do an entire page on a conspiracy rampage.
http://www.sportsterpedia.com/doku.p...talk:evo:oil07

I've also been working on the Ironhead engine case page.
I moved the different covers, cam, primary, trans sprocket to their sub pages and added some pics of covers to them.

Worked up a list on the main page of part numbers and casting numbers.
Still got a ways to go there...

I added a page in the REF section for discovering the length of bolts needed for mounting the cam cover.
1957-1990 parts books do not show which screw goes where and 1991-2003 does but not for all the screws.
2004-up books do show the screw size and location of all of them though.
This page is to help those that don't have that information in their manuals to find the lengths themselves.

It's been too long since I updated but I haven't stopped typing anyway.
Starting to work on some reorganizing / compiling.

I moved all the hydraulic lifter information ( I think) to the Evo Engine Mechanical 2 page.
http://www.sportsterpedia.com/doku.p...ifters_tappets

I also created a as a sub doc off that page for lifter (tappet) "Mechanical and Hydraulic Operation".
http://www.sportsterpedia.com/doku.p...evo:engmech02c

That page spun off the Sportster Oil Feed Chain Pressures and Dynamics page I'm working on.
http://www.sportsterpedia.com/doku.p...talk:ref:oil21
That information is basically applied science and don't appeal to everyone.
But it's an in depth look into the pressures and dynamics as they apply to fluid flow.
I'm still working on it though.

Good catch, Ron.
I changed that to read as you posted it.
We should all be vetting the information in the Sportsterpedia.
I've credited you with the find.

Thanks again.

Thank you man, wasn't looking to be cited, just to help out the community, and wondering about how far into 69 my 69XLCH7XXX (<3XXX, >=3XXX-4, out of 7800 sportys sold that year) was. Also didn't expect this haste, your the man Hippysmack, you being you makes it easier for us all to be us. (Don't feel obliged to reply ir anything either, just appreciating the appreciation)

Hey Hippysmack,
Is there a comprehensive checklist for doing cylinders, heads and cams?
Doing Hammer Performance and the schizoid Harley service manual is a drag...

I don't think we've done a comprehensive checklist.
Parts are broken up into sections like;
Cylinders, Heads, Pistons & Rods
and
Cams, Tappets etc.

It is strongly suggested to follow Hammer's guidance (if you got the parts from them) and what's not covered there to be in the service manual for your year model.
The Sportsterpedia isn't designed to take the place of the FSM (or especially your supplier/builder for aftermarket parts.)
We try and bridge gaps when possible though.

I bet if you'll start a build thread with pics, you'll have plenty of help getting her together.
We all love build threads.
