Default 03 xlh 88"

well my 88" build, fired up quick & easy, Axtell iron barrels, Hammer 560 impact cams, JE flat tops 10.5 comp, wood's Rebel 43.5 CV , Hammer Sledge offset Aircleaner, tappered end Duel pipes. gear box set up for quick shifts & rebuilt, flywheels trued balanced and press fit pin welded. twin tech adjustable cone ignition . forks have race tech springs & gold valving, have Ohlins 14.5" shocks set to my weight. has late 2018 EFI heads larger intake valves stock size exhaust . am very happy as has taken 6 months to get it all together & fired up & it fired easy and first try. will do heat cycles next week and start riding in two weeks. then will test it at drag strip.
sorry don't know how to post pic's.

I'm Jealous! You don't know how bad I want to do a 88inch number on my bike. CHEERS. By the way, "Sheila" is doing well. Getting big and eating me out of house and home. Thank God she finally got her big girl teeth!!!!!

I'm seriously debating 88ci or 90ci on my bike as well. I think today may be the last day of riding as it's near freezing overnight now.

you should do it!
I had the JE flat top piston skirt's dry lube coated, but if I was in USA I would have the same skirt coating Mat had done to his 90" Hammer. just no one in Australia does that coating & the dry lube coating has worked well in the past & I've used the guy that does it before for ceramic coating to pipes and dry lube to piston skirts.

I'm not worried about HP & TQ it makes, just want it nice to ride & handle the twisties. as I live in a hilly coastal area. I also want to take it too the track drag race with stock frame stock length swing arm, stock shift, stock forks stock spoke wheels. as I'm old school and I believe they should be all Harley except for the internal & engine mods & I also believe , you need to be able to ride the bike W O T , as you have it, or you got it wrong. that's what I call old school. it even still has 130 . 90 X 16" rear Avon tire & the stock 19" spoke front, so bike stock rigid sporty weight, plus the heavy Axtell barrels.
I'm also an old man!! but if I can ride it to the track & do a high 10 second quarter mile, I'll be a happy man, & even happier if I had to ride it 500 mile to the track to race & all smiles if it then gets me the 500 mile home!!
still stock gearing & belt drive ( bit smoother than chain )
but talk easy. doing it is very hard!!
