Pretty sure it was just a check-in to make sure your head isn't in the bad place. Post itself was strong.

That is exactly what it was. I would rather ask and be wrong.

I don't think a majority of the people in this country realize how good they have it. I realize that this is far from what our armed service people can go through but this is one experience my partner went through one winter day. It was 30 degrees or so, but it had snowed that night. We were exterior trim sub-contractors and were working on town houses. The building hadn't been back filled so we were around and in major ditch. The ground was snowy, muddy and slippery. The snow on the roof was melting and dripping down our necks. The job had to be done so we soldiered on. Wonder where that word came from? It was one of the very worst days we had ever had in the 14 years I did that kind of work. About 10:00 my partner said he would like to get in the truck, warm up a bit and get a cup of hot coffee. While we were in the truck with the radio on, there was news story about the nurses in Denver on strike for better working conditions. We both burst out laughing.

We all need to understand what our military personnel have gone through. We also need to understand what a lot of the working guys and gals go through in this country in jobs that no one else will do.How about workers paving a highway in 100* heat, how about guys insulating an attic in 100* heat, how about guys building a pipeline in Alaska in 20* below temperatures.. Just a coupe of examples, there are a lot of others. All of these jobs including our service people are what makes this country great, people who never quit.

I will get off my soapbox
kk
