My first bike was a Cushman I bought in several boxes for $10.00. I was 10 and my Gramps helped me put it together. I had no idea how to ride but he pushed me down the street, I dumped it into gear and didn't crash,. And that is how I got here ....45 plus years later.

Yes. I blame my parents for not letting me have ANYTHING while I was still young enough to be under their control and my older brother for getting a '68 XLCH two years before I was old enough to get a license. Finally squandered away enough cash after working summers and nights while still in school and popped for a new XLX when spring rolled around my senior year. Absolute best ever decision I've ever made.

Nope, my first bike was a Honda Super 90 that I got in 1970. I don't remember what year it was. It was white and I wanted a black one but it was used and I still thank my Dad for buying it for me. While it was white it kicked my cousin's black Honda 65 and that mattered a lot back then.

Like the user name - first bike was a CB160 , used, back in 1967 (which got modified as much as one could with $0...) many bikes later, I figured I owed myself a nice cruiser, and the Sportster was the one for me! Lovin' it!! Bought the Harley cuz it was a SPORTSTER (like the man said!!)

Default not the first but certainly the best

First was a Suzuki Trailhopper 50- 3 speed automatic that I shared with my brother. I was 6 years old he was 8. We next shared a Yamaha GT80 then began racing motocross and we each got our own.
I then had a Yamaha YZ80A, YZ80C and a Indian 75 (From the first attempt to resurrect the Indian name) That was a fast bike it would blow the yammers away! Next was a Yamaha Enduro 100. Then there was the infamous Honda CB 350, a Suzuki GS650 and my first Harley was a 1969 XLCH. Then came the mean time, 15 years of absolute hell without a motor of any kind. Then 1 1/2 months ago I bought my 08 Nightster!
Sure feels good to be back on two wheels!!

Nope, first bike was a Honda 65, that me and the younger brother got in 1966. Rode all kinds of Jap bikes, always getting a bigger one. The Sportster is my favorite of all that I have owned.
