Default kicker/elec start question

Are the same crankcases used for both kick and electric versions?

(I have elec start and intend on getting a new-to-me crankcase to replace my cracked one but can't use it if it can't take an elec starter)

The answer to your question is yes. The cases are machined the same for kick or electric.
